For The Underwater Writer

We have devoted all our time and effort to “regular” merchandise pens and “normal” writing instruments, but what does it take to write underwater? Who even needs to write underwater? It turns out quite a few people do, from underwater photographers and scuba divers entering sights into logbooks, to scientists tracking experiments or diving instructors taking notes during an underwater class.

So what do underwater writing instruments look like? There are a few options available:

Underwater Pencil

A graphite pencil can be very effective, as well as budget-friendly and has the added benefit of floating if it escapes your grasp. The ‘Write Anywhere’ Pen

This is a great, innovative pen product that is intended to be used at any altitude, in all weathers and underwater, making it a very versatile gift. Paul Fisher, founder of the Fisher Pen Company, successfully achieved this innovation when designing a pen that astronauts could use in space and which is still used by NASA today. Specially developed ink is continuously driven to the ballpoint end by the internal pressure of a sealed refill. These characteristics enable writing and recording of data to be carried out in highly adverse conditions. As a result you can always write on damp, wet or greasy paper, at any angle – think noticeboards or even upside down. Extreme cold or hot temperatures are no problem either.
